CONSTIPATION

We already know that MSM provides 33% sulfur when taken as a sulfur nutritional supplement.

What is important here to understand is that sulfur and molasses is a centuries old remedy used to treat constipation. It was also used as a spring tonic to cleanse the blood after a long period of inactivity during the long, cold winter months.

When I was young, my mom would get her sulfur from the local pharmacist and mix it with two parts molasses as a laxative.

We have already learned that MSM is a cholinesterase inhibitor & stops excessive passage of nerve impulses. By doing so, it helps restore the normal bowel activity (peristalsis). This means that it helps people with constipation. MSM is a potent laxative.

In MSM clinical experience, many patients using the MSM sulfur nutritional supplement for all kinds of health conditions have experienced a return to normal bowel movements after years of constipation, as reported in Dr. Jacob's book.

Constipation affects 30%-40% of seniors above sixty years old. Clinical MSM physicians provided MSM with great results to seniors with constipation who would not respond to laxatives or stool softeners.

It is also important to understand that all laxatives and stool softeners on the market have some side effects, most of them contain Potassium and Sodium that may make your leg calves swallow, which you will not experience with MSM.

MSM will take care of this for a few pennies a day, but most importantly in a fully nontoxic natural process without medicines side effects and their excessive cost.

The suggested dosage is 500 mg a day to start with and increase slowly. If older than fifty-five, and this is your only health challenge, few patients with this condition may have to get up to a 5,000 mg (one teaspoon) daily dose and more. However, as we get older, we need more MSM, and one may have to go much higher to have an overall mostly pain free life.
