ASTHMA - COPD

ASTHMA - COPD

ASTHMA:

Asthma is a respiratory disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of difficulty in breathing, wheezing (especially on expiration), cough, and thick mucus production, usually caused by a spasm or inflammation of the bronchial airways.

Attacks are precipitated by exposure to an allergen (for example, pollen, dust, food), strenuous exercise, stress, or infection. Asthma is most common in childhood and has a strong hereditary factor.

In 2019, twelve Americans died from asthma every day and sixty-five percent of them young women in their teens.

The anti-inflammatory benefits of MSM help reduce and even stop the episodes.

I cannot believe that the medical professionals have not even heard of the over thirty years of clinical experience of Dr. Jacob, M.D., who found that more than 70% of the asthmatic patients who used the MSM sulfur nutritional supplement had partial and even in most cases, complete pain relief.

COPD:

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a general term that describes progressive respiratory diseases like emphysema and chronic bronchitis. COPD is characterized by decreased airflow over time, as well as inflammation of the tissues that line the airway.

COPD and asthma have similar symptoms including chronic coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath.

Unlike asthma that is diagnosed in children, COPD is usually diagnosed over the age of forty who are current or former smokers.

Because of the anti-inflammatory properties of MSM, MSM will help reduce the symptoms.

The suggested dosage is 2,000 to 10,000 mg of MSM daily in the form of crystals or capsules to see if it helps. Start with the lower dose and increase slowly as you go until you reach the level to give you some comfort without side effects. As I mention often here, what is important is the fact that MSM use is a fully nontoxic natural process without medicines side effects.

Rubbing your nostrils inside and out with the MSM therapeutic massaging gel in the high allergenic season will also help keep the symptoms at bay.

Notice: Every time you use the MSM therapeutic topical gel, make sure your hands and the massaged area are clean because the MSM penetrates the skin, and one does not want to infect the skin with dirt. Also make sure that you rub the MSM gel in until your hands and the massaged area are completely dry to avoid the MSM crystals staying on top of your skin when the gel’s water evaporates. The demineralized water-based gel contains 15% MSM, which is the maximum to avoid crystallization. So, to prevent the MSM from crystallizing in the MSM gel bottle, do not forget to close the MSM gel bottle lid after use.

There is a peer reviewed study published on 11/29/2018, in the U.S. Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health on the effects and their high cost of MSM on allergic rhinitis (Hay Fever). The study can be accessed here:

The study was conducted by the Department of Nutrition, Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, MI, United States together with the Nova Southeastern University, Health Professionals Division, Exercise Science, Davie, FL, United States.

Allergic rhinitis, also called hay fever, and asthma have a clear link. Almost 4 out of 5 people who have asthma also have hay fever. About a third of the people with hay fever have asthma.

Allergic rhinitis was previously considered to be a disorder localized in the nasal passages, but emerging research indicates that the entire respiratory tract is involved.

The study’s conclusions:

The MSM study product provided significant relief of allergic rhinitis symptoms and objective nasal obstruction measurements without the occurrence of adverse events.

Oral consumption of the study product may reduce the symptoms and onset of allergic rhinitis without the side effects associated with standard-care medication (antihistamines).

The book "The Miracle of MSM" reports the following testimonials and more:

1.- A young five-year-old girl already showing signs of cortisone toxicity, after being hospitalized for two-thirds of the previous year started using MSM. In a month she gradually took 8,000 to 10,000 mg a day.

Then she started reducing her use of cortisone for the next two months and ended up with only taking the MSM sulfur nutritional supplement.

She has been taking the MSM sulfur nutritional supplement since and never missed one day of school again and can play normally with her friends, what she had not been able to do before.

2.- A Portland, Oregon, fifty-seven-year-old research facility storeroom lady used MSM to relieve her allergies in the late 1980s. She used MSM for a while and her symptoms went away. She ended up stopping the use of MSM without any problem.

In 1998, she had an asthma attack after transferring jobs into what she believed was a dusty environment. She started having symptoms again with difficulty breathing, was sick three times in a year and had to miss work for one week and had to use inhalers.

She then remembered about MSM and as soon as she started back on the MSM, her symptoms went away, so she will make sure she never stops taking the MSM. She gets relief with only 2,500 mg a day.

3.- A licensed nurse practitioner from Hanover, Pennsylvania, started having asthma attacks after moving from Florida.

She started using an inhaler four to five times a day.

She heard about MSM and started using 5,000 mg a day and her symptoms went away.

She ran out of MSM and forgot to continue. The symptoms came back and like others, she now keeps taking the MSM without any symptoms.
